Orange Beef & Rice Noodles

Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs. smoked beef tri-tip, thinly sliced
  • 14 oz package of rice noodles
  • Homemade Orange Sauce

Instructions

Sauce

Combine 1 Tablespoon of Butter, 2 Tablespoons of Ginger Paste, the Zest of 1 Orange, and 1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder in a 2 quart saucepan. Sauté for 2 minutes.

Then add:

  • 1 jar of Coconut Aminos (8.5 oz)
  • 1 ¹/² Cups of Freshly squeezed Orange Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Coconut Sugar

Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until it’s slightly thickened up a bit. Set aside while you fry up your beef.

Crispy Beef

Place your thinly sliced Tri-Tip in a large zip lock bag with enough cornstarch to coat all the meat well and shake it up.

Add a few Tablespoons of olive oil to a large cast iron skillet and heat on medium.

Working in batches fry the cornstarch covered beef pieces in single layer until crispy on both sides. Depending on the heat of the pan, this usually takes anywhere from 1-3 minutes per batch. Repeat until all beef is heated and crispy.

Noodles

Cook your rice noodles according to the package instructions. Nothing special here.

Final Assembly

Pour half of the orange sauce over the cooked noodles and toss to combine.

Add the remaining sauce to the crispy beef.

Place beef on top of the rice noodles and give it a little stir to make sure everything is evenly coated.

Optionally, add some sesame seeds or finely chopped cilantro to garnish.
